Betty Cooks - Crab Dip

Here is a tasty dip recipe from my mom that would be a great addition to your Super Bowl parties this weekend!

Crab Dip

1 tsp cornstarch
1/2 cup white wine or chicken broth
1 pkg 8 oz cream cheese, cubed
2 6 oz cans crab meat
2 tbsp Half and half cream
2 tbsp fresh parsley
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 cup (4 oz) shredded cheddar cheese
pinch paprika or seafood spice(Old Bay)

1) In microwave safe bowl, combine cornstarch and wine or broth until smooth
2) Add Cream cheese and cheddar cheese
3) Cover and microwave on high for 1 minute
4) Stir
5) Microwave 1 - 1 1/2 minutes more until smooth and slightly thickened
6) Stir in crab, cream, parsley and Worcestershire sauce
7) Cover and microwave on high for 1 minute
8) Stir until cheese melted and sprinkle with seasoning (paprika or Old Bay)

Serve with crackers or cut up veggies.
